Early experiments with the Cinder framework.

CINDER

Over 2010 and 2011, I gradually switched from openFrameworks as my primary creative technology platform to Cinder. openFrameworks was a great tool for scrappy prototyping, but Cinder was a rock-solid, production-ready machine for those with the requisite technical chops.

I went ballistic on creating plug-ins (CinderBlocks) for integrating as many libraries and hardware SDKs as I could so I had one central platform for rapidly executing ideas. I open-sourced most of these plug-ins. Everything including physics simulation, new tracking devices (eg, LEAP, Kinect), the Emotiv EEG BCI (brain-computer iterface), graphics utilities, and more. I also maintained a blog with technical tutorials focused on Cinder.
